Kinders Sauces Review

My husband and I are always looking for a new sauce to try, when we came across Kinders brand sauces. We love them. We have tried so many.  Here is my review of these three sauces.

Fire Roasted Jalapeno Sauce

This is one of my top favorites of this brand. It has a good spice and flavor to it but it does not overwhelm your taste buds. We use it to marinate shrimp, chicken and more. I use it a lot instead of mayo. I also use it on sausages.  If you do not like spicy things, this may not be for you. I highly recommend it.  It is also low in salt and Gluten Free

Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce

This BBQ sauce from Kinders is so very good. It is sweet. It honestly reminds me of a BBQ chip from Lays that you buy. I normally do not dip my tater tots in BBQ sauce even though my husband does. Well, I tried it with this BBQ sauce, and I love it. We try to keep this on hand. It's so good.  I highly recommend this as well. This is Gluten Free as well.

Honey Hot

This is a new one we tried. Its sweet but it does have a spice. It's like an amped up BBQ sauce. It is great for pork and any other things you would like to marinate. I'm planning a few other recipes that I plan to heavily use this sauce. This is Gluten Free as well.

* I am not associated with Kinders, and not being paid to do so. This is just something I am doing to try new items. *

Jalapeno Popper Potato Salad

It is summertime and that means I move out of soup mode and into more cooler meals. My husband and I love jalapeno poppers, and one night I had this idea to create this potato salad. This is actually really good.

Jalapeno Popper Potato Salad

2 Lbs. Red potatoes

1 Lb bacon

16 oz sausage

1 block of cream cheese softened.

2 C Sour Cream

2 cups of cheddar cheese

5 jalapenos chopped

6 green onions chopped

1/2 red onion chopped

3 T Garlic Powder

2 Tsp Salt

2 Tsp Cracked Pepper

3 T Dill

Dice up your red potatoes and put them in a saucepan to boil. While it is boiling, brown your sausage. When Sausage is done, then you need to cup up bacon into small pieces and brown them till they are crispy. I use the same pan that I did sausage in. Make sure both sausage and bacon are both well drained of grease.

When the potatoes are soft but not super soft, then drain them. Rinse them with cold water till they cool down. Put in a bowl. In another bowl mix your sour cream and cream cheese till its mixed well. Add in jalapenos, onions, seasonings, bacon sausage. Mix well. Add in the red potatoes and mix it to combine it all.

I highly recommend making it ahead of time and putting it in the refrigerator it gets better over time. This has quickly become one of our favorites and will be put into rotation.

Low Salt Ground Beef Stroganoff

This is a super easy, and great recipe for stroganoff. This can easily be changed to gluten free if you feel the need. This is very low salt. But if you are not on a low salt diet just use what you have.  Some days get so crazy you need an easy meal. This recipe is just that.

Stroganoff

2 lbs Ground Beef

3 T Garlic Powder

Splash of Worcestershire Sauce

1 tsp of Salt

2 Tsp pepper

2 Cups of Beef Broth

2 Cups Sour Cream

2 Cans of cream of chicken soup

16 oz bag of egg noodles

Green onions chopped (optional)

In a saucepan put your ground beef in it. Add your garlic powder, salt, pepper and Worcestershire Sauce. While you are browning it, get a second pot and fill it with water to boil for noodles.  Brown your ground beef and drain off any access fat. Once you have drained it, then put it back in the saucepan and add your broth. Then add both cans of cream of chicken soup and sour cream. Stir to combine.

Serve in a bowl and top with green onions if you wish. I also will serve it with garlic bread.

Once noodles are cooked, strain them. Then add them to your meat mixture. Stir to combine.

Lays Cuban Sandwich Chips Review

Today's snack review is of these Cuban Sandwich style chips from Lays. People who know me know that I am a huge chip fan.  If it's a new chip I am usually trying it. I was curious about these but also a little leary of what they would taste like.

These chips are actually pretty addicting. They have a good crunch which is very important when you are talking about chips. They are very dill forward, so if you like pickles you will probably enjoy these. While they are very dill forward, they do have a flavor that is more than just dill. When I was eating them it really almost felt like I was eating the sandwich. I would definitely buy these again. I ate the whole bag in like two days.  I give them two thumbs up.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Fresh Broccoli chopped. I buy bags of already chopped.

1/2 C Butter

1/3 C Flour

Spoon full of garlic.

2 Tsp Salt

2 Tsp Cracked Pepper

2 Tsp Garlic Powder

2 Cups of Chicken Broth

2 Cups of Heavy Cream

2 C Cheese

In a saucepan add butter. While its melting put flour in a bowl with seasonings. Once the butter is melted then you need to add in flour mixture. Whisk till butter is absorbed. Then slowly add in your broth, heavy cream and cheese. Whisk as you add it in. Once its combined and all smooth, then you will add your chopped broccoli. Cook on low till broccoli is tender.

Serve with garlic bread.

Low Salt options: You can use no salt chicken broth. However, the cheese does add in a bunch of salt. If you use the no salt chicken broth it helps lower the salt in it.

Buffalo Mac N Cheese

Buffalo Chicken Mac N Cheese

This recipe utilizes Buffalo Chicken Dip. You can get two meals out of one.

Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip

3 Chicken Breasts

1 Package of cream cheese softened.

1 cup of Hot Sauce

1/2 Cup Ranch

1 Cup of cheese

In a crock pot cook your chicken till it is easy to shred. High for 4 hours would work. When chicken is shredded add in your cream cheese and cut it into chunks and place on top of chicken. Then add your hot sauce and ranch. Add half of the cup of cheese and mix together as best as you can. Cook it for a few more hours stiring every few minutes to mix it all together. Once the cream cheese has melted add the rest of the cheddar cheese to the top. Cook till melted. Serve it hot.

Now for the Mac N Cheese!

1 box of spiral mac or whatever pasta you want.

1 C Heavy Cream

2 Cups of the dip

2 cups of Cheddar

1 T Garlic Powder

1 T Cracked Pepper

Salt to taste

Boil pasta according to the box. Drain it and then put it back in the pan. Add your 2 cups of dip, heavy cream, and cheddar cheese. Mix till combined and all the cheese is melted.

**If you refrigerate the dip, make sure you microwave it with a dash of cream to loosen it. **

It is that easy and so good.

Chicken Jalapeno Corn Soup

Chicken Jalapeno Corn Soup

2 Chicken breasts cooked and shredded.

2 Cut up jalapenos.

1 bag of frozen corn

1 C Shredded Cheddar

1 lb. of bacon diced up.

32 oz chicken broth

2 Cups of Heavy Cream

1 Tsp of Red Pepper Flakes

Spoon full of garlic.

1 bag of Diced frozen potatoes

Salt to taste and cracked pepper.

I use a crock pot for the chicken usually, but you do not have to. However, if you do feel like it would be easier, I add the broth, chicken, cut up jalapenos. Cook till you can shred it. If you want you can also use grilled chicken, or even rotisserie chicken.

Once your chicken is cooked, then it's time to start the bacon. In a pan I add diced up raw bacon, jalapenos and red pepper flakes. Cook till the bacon is cooked all the way, drain any fat off. Then Add in potatoes, and corn.  I use frozen cubed potatoes to save on time, but you can cut them up if you wish. Next you will add your broth, and seasonings. Let it cook till potatoes and corn are fully cooked. Next add in your cooked shredded chicken. If you used the crock pot method, then just add the shredded crock pot mixture to the pot. Broth and all. Now you will add in your heavy cream and cheese. Stir it all up and heat till it's nice and hot. Taste and if it needs more salt and pepper just add it.

Eat and enjoy!

Low salt options: I use a slow sodium bacon and a no salt broth. This will bring the salt amount lower.
